AVCM Brian M. Jackson


 A native of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Master Chief Brian Jackson graduated from Skyline High School in 1992.  He enlisted in the United States Navy in September 1994 and reported for recruit training in Great Lakes, Illinois and then to the fleet following apprenticeship training as an undesignated airman recruit.
 
Jackson reported to his first command, USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72), early January 1995.  In May of 1996, he was selected for Aviation Electronics Technician Intermediate ‘A’ school in Millington, Tennessee where he promoted upon arrival off of the NWAE.  His subsequent sea duty assignments include: SEAOPDET Oceana (deploy/detachments on USS John F. Kennedy, USS Kitty Hawk, and USS Theodore Roosevelt) as a TARPS technician, USS Nassau (LHA 4) as Avionics leading petty officer/QAR and promoted to Chief Petty Officer, USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) as department 3MA and fire watch leading chief petty officer (LCPO), USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) as Air Intermediate Maintenance Department and Training Department LCPO where he promoted to both Senior Chief and Master Chief Petty Officer, and again on USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) as the MMCPO and department LCPO.  His deployments include service in the Arabian Gulf, Indian Ocean, the Mediterranean, and the Pacific to include Operation Desert Shield/Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom, War on Terror, Operation New Dawn, and Operation Sentinel.
 
His first shore duty assignment was CNATTU Oceana as a TARPS, TACAN, and COMSEC instructor earning his master training specialist and promotion to First Class Petty Officer.  His second shore tour was SPAWAR Systems Center, Atlantic as the OOMA program manager, legal officer, and then the senior enlisted leader.
 
In August 2019, Jackson reported to his present assignment as the maintenance master chief/SEL for the E-2D Fleet Integration Team.
 
Along with multiple unit and campaign awards, Master Chief Jackson’s personal awards include: the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3 awards) and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (2 awards).  His qualified as both an Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist and Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist.
 
Master Chief Jackson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Saint Leo University, a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Corcord Law School at Purdue University Global, and is pursuing a Doctorate of Philosophy in Organization Development and Leadership from Ashford University.
