Command Master Chief
CMDCM (IW/SW/AW) Erica B. Elliott
Master Chief Erica Elliott is a native of Brooklyn, New York. She enlisted in the United States Navy and graduated from basic training in March 1996. Elliott completed the combined data processing technician and radioman “A-School” in 1996 and was assigned to Personnel Support Activity San Diego, California where she completed one year of her tour and then was selected for the Woman at Sea Initiative. She was assigned to a new construction ship where she was part of the initial crew on a new Aegis class destroyer, PCU Porter (DDG 78), while assigned to Porter she earned her enlisted surface warfare specialist (ESWS) qualification.
In 2001, she transferred to Naval Special Warfare Group 2 (NSWG-2) Mobile Communication Team (MCT) where she completed two successful deployments with USS Wasp (LHD 1) and SEAL Team 2 post September 11, 2001. She achieved her enlisted aviation warfare specialist (EAWS) qualification and also earned her Associate of Arts degree. In 2004, she transferred to her shore assignment, Center for Information Dominance Virginia Beach, Virginia, as the course supervisor and course manager where she completed an individual augment assignment to Djibouti, Africa and earned her master training specialist (MTS) qualification.
In 2009, she was assigned to Manama, Bahrain (NAVCENT) where she was selected as chief petty officer. In 2010, she transferred to Navy Cyber Defense Operation Command (NCDOC VA, Beach) where she earned her enlisted information dominance warfare specialist (EIDWS) qualification and was selected for senior chief petty officer. In 2012, she transferred to PCU Arlington (LPD 24) and completed a successful tour earning her anti-terrorist watch officer (ATTWO), combat systems officer of the watch (CSOOW), surface watch officer (SUWC), combat information center watch officer (CICWO). In 2017, she graduated from USAF Senior NCO Academy, was selected to master chief and earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration, information technology management.
Master Chief Elliott’s personal awards include the Navy Commendation Medal (five awards), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Medal (2 awards), Navy Good Conduct Medal (eight awards) and various campaign medals.
