Executive Officer

Cmdr. Pat “SUE” Reilly a native of Miami, Florida, and Ocala, Florida. He graduated from the University of Florida in 2007 and the University of Arkansas in 2016. He completed flight training and "winged" as a naval aviator in July 2009. 

Reilly’s operational assignments include the “Mad Foxes” of Patrol Squadron (VP) 5 from 2010 to 2013 where he was qualified as a P-3C and P-8A instructor pilot, the “Skinny Dragons” of VP-4 from 2016 to 2018 where he served as the squadron maritime tactics instructor, and the “Screaming Eagles” of VP-1 from 2018 to 2020 where he served as a department head.
 
Reilly’s shore assignments include the Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Weapons School where he served as a fleet replacement squadron (FRS) instructor/weapons and tactics instructor and VP-30 where he served as FRS training officer. 

Reilly was selected for command in 2022 and joined the “War Eagles” of VP-16 in April 2023. He has deployed to 4th, 5th, and 7th Fleet areas of responsibility and has accumulated over 2,400 hours in the P-3C and P-8A. 

Reilly’s personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (4), Army Achievement Medal, and other unit and campaign awards.
