Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 32
VFA-32 Menu

SAILORS FIRST, MISSION ALWAYS!

Pride – Professionalism – Purpose

OUR MISSION.  We serve as America’s Away Team to bring the fight to the doorstep of those who threaten our way of life.  Our fellow Americans expect the very best from each one of us, every single day, and that is exactly what we will deliver.  We provide the nation’s premier surgical strike capability – we fight our way into contested areas from anywhere around the globe, deliver ordnance on target, and fight our way out.  We also defend the Carrier Strike Group from all threats, enabling us to position the fleet within striking range of our adversaries.

OUR FOCUS.  Success will be defined by mission accomplishment, but this is only made possible by our Sailors.  Therefore, our focus is on cultivating professionals who are absolute experts in their fields.  We will provide each “Gypsy” with the opportunity to develop and excel both personally and professionally.  We will achieve this through engaged leadership, persistent professionalism both on and off duty, effective communication, and teamwork within the squadron and across the air wing.

MY VISION.  We are a combat unit committed to global security, defending our homeland, and protecting our Nation’s vital interests around the world.  At all times, we will treat each other with dignity and respect, up and down the chain of command.  We adhere to the U.S. Navy’s CMEO, SAPR, DAPA policies.  We will empower Sailors at all levels to lead, and every single “Gypsy” will lead by example.  Finally, safety underpins all that we do.  Speak up when something does not seem right, execute all tasks “by the book”, and never “cut corners”.

GUIDING PRINCIPLES.  The following principles will guide and shape our actions:

     a. Pride.  Take pride in the fact that we safeguard the freedom, security, and prosperity of our Nation.  Strive for perfection and be proud to be a Gypsy!

     b. Professionalism.  We are an elite organization within a select group of naval warriors.  We represent our Navy at all times, on duty and off, within the United States and on foreign soil.

     c. Purpose.  Our purpose is to defend the homeland through power projection abroad.  We will deploy anywhere around the world to achieve this end.  Gypsies lead from the front!

MY PRIORITIES.  Mission success is my top priority.  Developing our Sailors and supporting our families will ensure we remain an elite organization that accomplishes the mission every time we are called upon.  We have answered our Nation’s call to service, and we are privileged to have this honor and the honor to be called Swordsmen.  “Deus et Patria” and Gypsy Roll!
