Capt. Brett Ingle

Capt. Brett D. Ingle, a native of San Diego, California, entered the United States Navy in April 1983 and was designated an Aviation Anti-Submarine Warfare Technician. In 1997, he was commissioned an Ensign under the Limited Duty Officer Program and in 1999 was selected for lateral transfer to the aerospace maintenance duty officer (AMDO) community.
Ingle’s operational assignments have been onboard USS John C. Stennis (CVN-74) as support equipment officer and avionics division officer; Aircraft Maintenance Unit, Rota, Spain as the maintenance material control officer, providing “I” Level repair for F-404 engine and EP-3E Weapon Systems; Electronic Attack Squadron 142 in Whidbey Island, Washington, as quality assurance officer, maintenance material control officer, and assistant maintenance officer, deploying to Iwakuni, Japan and Bagram Air Force Base, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, and USS Peleliu (LHA 5) where he served as AIMD maintenance officer. While onboard the “Iron Nickel”, he implemented the first AIRSpeed formal training and continuous process improvement tools for an "L" Class AIMD.

Ingle’s shore assignments have included the Navy Enterprise Resource Program Office in Annapolis, Maryland, for duty as aviation maintenance planner for Naval Air Systems Command; AMDO community manager at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland, where his duties included promotion and officer accession planning; officer in charge FRC Southwest, leading 700 Sailors and Civilians in support of H-60/C-2 readiness; as chief of staff and operations officer for AIR 1.0, providing execution oversight of six program offices; and as production officer for FRC Southwest for F/A-18, E-2/C-2, H-60, H-53, MV-22, H-1, AV-8 aircraft depot level maintenance, repair and overhaul to include manufacturing and component repair.
Ingle reported to Fleet Readiness Center Mid-Atlantic as the executive officer in June of 2018. Ingle is authorized to wear the Professional Aviation Maintenance Officer insignia. He has a master’s degree in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma and an executive masters of Business Administration from the Naval Postgraduate School. His awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (4 awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (7 awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (2 awards), and numerous campaign and service awards.
