Command Master Chief
CMDCM (AW/SW/FMF) Terrance Foote


Command Master Chief Foote is a native of Patuxent River, Maryland and spent time later in Cleveland, Ohio.  He enlisted in the Navy in May 2001.  Following his completion of Recruit Training in Great Lakes, Illinois, he reported to Hospital Corps “A” School.  After graduation, he reported to Field Medical Service School (FMSS), earning his 8404 NEC (Field Medicine Technician) and he continued with advanced training to become an aviation medical technician in Pensacola, Florida.
 
In June 2002, HN Foote reported to his first command, Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 314, on Naval Air Facility Washington, DC.  After a successful tour, he reported to Patron Squadron (VP) 1 on Naval Air Station (NAS) Whidbey Island, deploying twice in support of Seventh Fleet and Operation Enduring Freedom.  His efforts on his first deployment led to his meritorious promotion to petty officer second class.
 
In September 2008, Foote Reported to Marine Aircraft Group 41 where he served as the leading petty officer.  In August 2009, Foote deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  While in Iraq, he was promoted to petty officer first class.
 
In July 2011, Foote reported to 1st Marine Aircraft Wing as the Leading Petty Officer of Marine Wing Support Squadron 172.  In September 2013, he was selected and promoted to chief petty officer and transferred to Carrier Air Wing Eight (CAG) 8.  While assigned to CAG 8, Foote deployed onboard USS George H. W. Bush (CVN 77) in support of Fifth Fleet Area during Operation Inherent Resolve.  He was promoted to senior chief in May 2016 and transferred the Capt. James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center, Great Lakes, where he served as the senior enlisted leader for directorate for facility support and clinical support services.
 
In May 2019, Foote was selected to the command program and assigned as the command senior chief of Virginia Military Institute’s Naval Reserve Officer Training Command.  In August 2021, Foote transferred to Puget Sound Naval Shipyard Detachment Everett, Washington.  In March 2022, he was selected to command master chief and transferred to VRC-40 where he currently serves as the command master chief.
 
He is a graduate of the Navy’s Executive Medical Department Enlisted Course, Senior Enlisted Academy, and CMC/COB Course.
 
His awards include Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (5), Navy Achievement Medal (4), Navy Good Conduct Medal (7), Iraqi Campaign Medal with Eagle Globe and Anchor, Navy Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (6), Navy Rifle Sharp Shooter Medal, Navy Pistol Expert Medal, and the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal.  He earned the Enlisted Fleet Marine Force Warfare, Enlisted Aviation Warfare, and Enlisted Surface Warfare designators.
