Command Master Chief
CMDCM(AW/SW/IW) Keith Carmona

Command Master Chief Keith Carmona is a native of Wakulla, Florida, and enlisted in the U.S. Navy in May 1998. He completed basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, and Aviation Electronics Technician “A" school at Naval Aviation Technical Training Command, Pensacola, Florida. He is a graduate of the United States Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 208/Blue), Command Master Chief (CMC/COB) course, Advanced Command Master Chief course and earned his Associates in Applied Science - Technical Studies from Excelsior University. He is a designated Master Training Specialist, Command Navy Leader Development Facilitator and Chief Petty Officer - Command Leader Development Facilitator.

Carmona's sea and operational assignments include; Fighter Squadron (VF) 101 stationed at Naval Air Station (NAS) Oceana, Virginia; Helicopter Combat Support Squadron (HC) 5 based on Andersen Air Force Base, Guam; Fighter Attack Squadron (VFA) 14 assigned to NAS Lemoore, California; and Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 136 at NAS Whidbey Island, Washington.

His shore tours include Aviation Intermediate Maintenance Department at NAS Keflavik, Iceland; Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois; Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training Unit at NAS Whidbey Island, Washington; and Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training Headquarters at NAS Pensacola, Florida.

Selected to the CMC program in 2018 his Command Master Chief assignments include: Navy Talent Acquisition Group New Orleans “Team Powerhouse” and Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 37 “Ragin’ Bulls”. He assumed duties at Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 8 in 2023. CVW-8 is stationed on NAS Oceana and attached to the Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group in 2023.

Master Chief Carmona's personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (2), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (6), as well as numerous other personal, unit and service decorations.
