Senior Chief Naval Aircrewman (Helicopter)(NAC/AW) Christopher M. Adams
Senior Chief Christopher M. Adams, a native of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois, enlisted in the United States Navy in January 2003. After completing basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois, he reported to Naval Aviation Schools Command, Pensacola, Florida, where he completed Aircrew Candidate School and Graduated Aviation Rescue Swimmer School class 03-13. He then completed his Class A school and reported to Helicopter Combat Support Squadron (HSC) 3 in San Diego, California, for initial MH-60S Seahawk helicopter Flight Training.
Upon graduation, he reported for duty as an Aviation Machinist’s Mate 3rd Class (Naval Aircrewman) to HSC-28, “Dragon Whales,” aboard Naval Station Norfolk. His fleet Squadrons include: HSC-8, Dragon Whales; HSC-9, “Tridents;” HSC-7, “Dusty Dogs;” HSC-26, “Chargers.” His Shore assignments include: HSC-2, “Fleet Angels;” and Naval Personnel Command as Enlisted Aviation Placement. He graduated from the Rotary Wing Weapons School, Fallon, Nevada, (Class 01-14), and the Navy's Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 277V Blue).
He is currently serving as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader for Station Search and Rescue (SAR) Key West.
His decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (six awards), and various unit and campaign awards.
