Welcome to Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 106 website! Located onboard Naval Air Station Oceana in Virginia.  The Gladiators report to Commander, Strike Fighter Wing, Atlantic.  We fly the single seat and two seat variants of the Navy’s newest strike fighter aircraft the F/A-18E and the F/A-18F Super Hornet.  They were designed for traditional air superiority, fighter escort, reconnaissance, aerial refueling, close air support, forward air control (airborne), air defense suppression and day/night precision strike.
