Welcome to Strike Fighter Squadron ONE THREE ONE (VFA-131)!  Located onboard Naval Air Station Oceana in Virginia Beach, VA, the “Wildcats” fly the single seat variant of the Navy’s premier strike fighter aircraft: the F/A-18E Super Hornet.  The F/A-18E model was designed for the tactical carrier environment, deployed at sea to bring American military might to enemy shores.  The Super Hornet excels in traditional air superiority, fighter escort, reconnaissance, close air support, air defense suppression, and day/night precision strike.  Supported by the best tactical aircraft maintainers in the world, VFA-131 is the go-to squadron on the flight line in any mission set, in any part of the world.  The sailors and officers of the squadron live the motto “One Team, One Fight!”
