Three pillars are critical to our success:
1. PEOPLE - Professional
Sailors and families remain the foundation of our warfighting capability. The professional success of our team can only be accomplished if Screwtops and their families are ready. Take care of yourself and your family. Being at VAW-123 means you belong and are valued here; we will look out for you.
2. PLANES – Persistent
We take pride in maintaining the finest Hawkeyes in the Fleet. Period. Flawless maintenance has been completed by professionals. We perform without uncertainty because collectively, we are experts. Our planes are ready to execute persistent TAC-C2 because we are ready.
3. PROGRAMS - Pointed
Effective programs are the capstone of a safe and efficient squadron. Screwtops are afforded opportunities to learn and understand, with the goal to manage a program. Be curious; ask pointed questions; learn your program, own it, and make it the best in the Navy.
These pillars cannot be achieved without the Screwtops’ personal dedication to performance. Be confident and strive for excellence in all you do. By working together, we harness our talents to get the job done anytime, anywhere and under any conditions. In time, you will be asked to train and mentor your relief.
