Congratulations on your orders to Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 74, the "World Famous Swamp Foxes." Our mission is to "Prepare and be ready to deploy combat-capable MH-60R aircraft and personnel that can FIGHT and WIN at sea."
You are joining a dedicated warfighting team of over 300 Sailors, ready to deploy as part of Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 3 and Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 2. In this squadron, every contribution is important and valued in achieving our mission. Our goal is to ensure our Sailors, equipment, and ourselves are prepared to fight and win at sea. We prioritize qualifications, mentorship, meticulous maintenance, experience, unity, and operational flexibility. Above all, we strive to recognize hard work and foster a family-like atmosphere.
