Command Master Chief
Master Chief (SW/AW/FMF) Cory D. Anglin
Command Master Chief Cory D. Anglin, a native of Chicago, Illinois, reported to Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois November 1997. Upon completion of boot camp, he transferred to Hospital Corps A-School, Great Lakes, Illinois.
His previous duty stations include Branch Health Clinic USS Red Rover, 3D Marine Division; Naval Hospital Corpsmen A-School (Instructor), 3D Marine Air Wing, Naval Hospital Naples Italy, Navy Manpower Analysis Center.
His previous operational platforms include Marine Division, Marine Regimental staff, Marine Air Wing, 31st/15th/26th Marine Expeditionary Units, 6th Fleet Force Surgeon staff, Fleet Surgical Team 8. He has served onboard USS Frederickson (LST-1149), USS Fort McHenry (LSD-43), USS Tarawa (LHA-1), USS Essex (LHD-2), USS Peleliu (LHA5), USS Mount Whitney (LCC-20), USS Iwo Jima (LHD-7), and USNS Comfort (TAH 20).
He is a distinguished honor graduate from the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy class (175/Gray), and the CMC/COB Course (Class 187).
His warfare qualifications include Enlisted Air Warfare Specialist, Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist, Enlisted Fleet Marine Force Warfare Specialist, and he is a Master Training Specialist. He was selected to the Command Senior Chief program in 2018. As a Command Master Chief, he has completed two deployments in the 4th Fleet area of operations and the NYC COVID-19 Response Mission.
Anglin’s teamwork and unit awards include the two Joint Meritorious Unit Commendations, two Navy Unit Commendations, two Meritorious Unit Commendations, three Surgeon Generals Blue H awards, Naval Sea Systems 2M Gold Disk award, and numerous personal and service decorations. He assumed the duties and responsibilities as Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 7’s command master chief in March 2021.
