Mission statement

Our mission is to provide combat ready aircraft and aircrew to conduct operations as assigned by Commander, Carrier Air Wing EIGHT and Commander, Carrier Strike Group TWO.

We are the first to launch and the last to land.  We are the most flexible platform in the Air Wing and have the most diverse set of missions.  Our flexibility allows CVW-8 and CSG-12 to conduct operations from combat to humanitarian assistance/disaster relief and everything in between.  The success of every mission depends on the Tridents.

To achieve mission success, we must take care of each other, our aircraft and our equipment.  Training and safety are essential to our continued success.  Our focus is on training and qualifying our personnel in preparation for our next deployment or operational tasking.

Train aggressively, Maintain Proficiency, Execute Professionally!
