CMDCS Samantha Honaker

Command Senior Chief Samantha Honaker, of Denver, Colorado, enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 2009 attending boot camp at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois, and then attended Quartermaster “A” School, Great Lakes, Illinois. She holds a BA in Criminal Justice. from American Military University.

Her operational tours include USS Bulkeley (DDG 84), stationed in Norfolk, Virginia; USS Gonzalez (DDG 66), stationed in Norfolk; USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), stationed in Yokosuka, Japan.
 
Her shore assignments include Chief of Naval Operations Ceremonial Barge Chesapeake, based at the Washington Navy Yard; Regional Legal Service Office Mid-Atlantic based in Norfolk, VA; Commander, Destroyer Squadron 2, based in Norfolk, and PCU John F. Kennedy (CVN 79), stationed in Newport News, Virginia.
 
Honaker reported to Strike Fighter Weapons School Atlantic in September 2024, following her selection into the Command Senior Leadership program.
 
Senior Chief Honaker is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy, Class 244, Khaki Group, and the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Course, Class 24140. Her personal decorations include Navy Commendation Medal (five awards), Navy Achievement Medal (four awards), Good Conduct Medal (five awards), and various unit and campaign awards.
