CMDCM(EXW/SW) Philip R. Croshaw
Command Master Chief Phillip R. Croshaw, a native of Bountiful, Utah, enlisted in the Navy in June 1996 and attended Basic Recruit Training in Great Lakes, Illinois, followed by Aircraft Electrician “A” School in Pensacola, Florida. He later cross rated to Master-at-Arms after attending “A” School in September 2001 in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy in February 2016 (Class 193/Purple) and Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Course (Class 22090) in May 2022.
His sea duty and overseas assignments include Assistant Chief Master-at-Arms aboard USS Austin (LPD 4), Patrol Chief at Navy Security Force (NAVSECFOR) Bahrain, SEAL Team TWO by way of Naval Special Warfare Logistics Support Unit 2, serving as Force Protection Officer and Mobility Commander for Task Force South in Baghdad, Iraq, and Special Operations Task Force South East in Uruzgan Province Afghanistan, and Coastal Riverine Squadron FOUR, ALPHA Company and Commander, Task Unit 56.7.1 Senior Enlisted Leader on three occasions.
His shore tours include Strike Fighter Squadron (VF) 101 serving as an F-14 A/B/D Tomcat aircraft variant Plane Captain, Training Officer/Weapons Officer at Public Safety Storefront Little Creek, Virginia, Senior Enlisted Leader Naval Air Station Corpus Christi Security Detachment, and Military Working Dog Course of Instruction Department Head at Naval Technical training Center (NAVTECHTRACEN) Lackland Air Force Base, Command Master Chief of Naval Support Activity South Potomac, reporting to Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 213 Virginia Beach, Virginia, in July 2024.
Command Master Chief Croshaw holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with an emphasis in Counterterrorism and Homeland Security. His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (four awards), Army Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal (four awards), Army Achievement Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, and various other unit and campaign medals and citations.
