VFA-32 Command Philosophy

Mission

Fight and Win Decisively in Combat! Our Nation expects Strike Fighter Squadron THREE TWO to be ready to bring to bear, at any time, every fighting capability of the F/A-18F Super Hornet to conduct decisive combat operations and defeat any adversary. The ability to employ valid weapons on target, on time, first pass, by superbly trained aircrew, maintained by WORLD CLASS maintenance professionals, flying fully mission capable aircraft is THE reason this organization exists.

Vision

Strive Always for Perfection! Strike Fighter Squadron THREE TWO will be manned, trained, and equipped primarily for immediate and sustained combat action on and above the sea. We will be brilliant on the basics of leadership, airmanship, maintenance, administration, and other areas of warfighting excellence. This is the bedrock upon which our ability to accomplish our mission rests. We will be tasked to conduct a wide array of complex, often times hazardous operations on and above the seas and oceans of the world and may be called upon to engage peer adversaries in decisive combat. We must also strive to create the very best version of each and every sailor. ALL Gypsies are responsible for making sure we are the best fighting force on the planet. We will create the next generation of Gypsies by passing on our vast knowledge and taking the time to mold our future leaders.

Expectations

Plan, Train, Execute, Succeed. Our mission is achieved by setting, measuring and achieving many smaller goals (percentage sortie completion, full mission capable (FMC) rate, SFWT milestones, advancements, and maintenance qualifications). Excellence in every professional endeavor is the standard by which we will be measured. Excellence is not something we merely achieve and maintain without effort. Therefore; we will plan, we will train; and above all, we will execute properly. Our standard of excellence as a command will be exemplified by FMC aircraft, adherence to all procedure, impeccable squadron spaces, rigid flight discipline, sharp military appearance and courtesy, and mature conduct.

Commander Officer's Focus

MY GOALS ARE ALL OF OUR GOALS. We will lead as a team with the mantra Mission First, Safety Always. We will execute at all times in accordance with established regulations, TTPs and best practices. War is waged with ships and aircraft but it will be fought by all of us. Therefore; WE are all mission critical and must take care of ourselves and each other. It is my greatest honor and privilege to be the Commanding Officer of Fighting 32 and I do not take this responsibility lightly. It is MY responsibility to provide YOU the means and opportunity to prepare our squadron to win in combat, and to take care of OUR Sailors and their Families. I owe you every opportunity to achieve the best version of yourself. We owe this to our Nation and to each other.

“Deus et Patria” and Gypsy Roll!
