Command Master Chief
CMDCM Brandon Fullmer


Command Master Chief Brandon Fullmer was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. He joined the Navy out of the San Diego Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) in February of 2001 and completed recruit training at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, Illinois. After completing basic training, he attended Naval Aircrewman Candidate School, Rescue Swimmer School, and Naval Aircrewman “A” School in Pensacola, Florida. In 2002, he arrived at Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron (HS) 10 and earn his naval aircrew wings of gold. His first tour was at HS-5 out of Jacksonville, Florida, where he deployed aboard the USS John F. Kennedy (CV 67) and USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) deploying to the Gulf of Oman, Arabian Gulf, and Horn of Africa.

In 2007, he transitioned from the SH-60F and HH-60H to the MH-60R and became a plank owner of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 70, the first East Coast “Romeo” squadron. During his time at HSM-70, he deployed aboard USS Mesa Verde (LPD 19), and USS George H. W. Bush (CVN 77).

Following his plank owner tour at HSM-70, in 2010 he transitioned to HSM-40, the MH-60R fleet replacement squadron in Mayport, Florida. While at HSM-40, he was promoted to Chief Petty Officer and served as the MH-60R NATOPS evaluator. In 2013, he rotated back to HSM-70 and deployed aboard USS George H. W. Bush (CVN 77) conducting operations in the Arabian Gulf and was qualified a Level IV master sensor operator.

In 2016 he rotated to Millington, Tennessee, to serve as the AWR/S helicopter aircrewman detailer where he was promoted to Senior Chief Petty Officer. While in Millington, he was selected to command senior chief and rotated to the Columbus MEPS where he was selected to command master chief and assumed the role at Airborne Command and Control Squadron (VAW) 124. While at VAW-124, he completed the maiden deployment aboard USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78).

Fullmer assumed the role of command master chief of the “Grey Hawks” of VAW-120 in January 2024.

His professional military education includes the Senior Enlisted Academy, Command Master Chief Course and Joint Professional Military Education. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Sports and Health Sciences from American Military University. Fullmer’s military awards and decorations include a Defense Meritorious Service Medal, a Meritorious Service Medal, Commendation Medal (3), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy Achievement Medal (6) and various personal, unit and service medals and ribbons.
