CMDCM Lloyd Roberts
Command Master Chief Lloyd Roberts is a native of Brooklyn, NY and was raised in the Bronx, New York. He graduated from Truman High School in June 1991 and enlisted in the Navy in 1992. Upon completion of recruit training in San Diego, he reported to his first duty station, Patrol and Reconnaissance Squadron (VP) 9 in Moffett Field, California. Following attending Aviation Ordnanceman “A” school at Naval Technical Training Center (NTTC), Millington Tennessee, he went back to VP-9 in Barbers Point, Hawaii for his second sea tour as work center supervisor.
He then reported to Navy Recruiting District (NRD) New York and served as the recruiter in charge of Navy Recruiting Station (NRS) White Plains, NRS Cross County, and NRS Harlem, he then reported to NRD Philadelphia as a zone supervisor, where he was advanced to Chief Petty Officer. He reported next to NRD Los Angeles as a zone supervisor where he was advanced to Senior Chief Petty Officer and served and completed a tour at NRD Houston and NRD Richmond as the assist chief recruiter where he was advanced to Master Chief Petty Officer. He served as acting command master chief at NRD Richmond throughout Fiscal Year 2015. He completed a tour as the chief recruiter of NRD St. Louis and command master chief for NTAG Pacific. He is currently serving as the command master chief for VP-10.
Roberts has earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in business administration from Trident University and is currently pursuing a Masters in Human Resourcing. He is a graduate (Class 176 Brown) of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy in Newport, Rhode Island.
Personal Awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (two), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (six awards), Good Conduct Medal (eight awards), and numerous campaign and unit awards.
