Commanding Officer
Cmdr. Stefanie J. Haseman

Cmdr. Stefanie J. Haseman graduated from Jacksonville University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She commissioned in December 2004 through Navy ROTC and was winged as a Naval Flight Officer (NFO) in San Antonio, Texas, in July 2006.
 
In May 2007, Haseman completed P-3C flight training at Patrol Squadron (VP) 30 in Jacksonville, Florida.  Her first operational tour was with the “Golden Swordsmen” of Patrol Squadron (VP) 47 in Kaneohe, Hawaii, where she deployed to the 5th Fleet area of responsibility (AOR) in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, with a second deployment to the 7th Fleet AOR. During her tour she held the positions of NFO NATOPS officer and NFO training officer, and qualified as a P-3C Mission Commander and Instructor Tactical Coordinator (TACCO).
 
In May 2010, Haseman reported to the “Pioneers” of Air Test and Evaluation Squadron (VX) 1 in Patuxent River, Maryland.  She served as the P-8A NFO/Aircrew training officer and assistant operational test director in the several months leading up to and during the P-8A Initial Operational Test and Evaluation milestone.  She qualified as a P-8A mission commander and P-8A instructor TACCO, and participated in the P-8A’s first-ever fleet exercises to include Joint Warrior, RIMPAC, and Valiant Shield in 2012.  
 
In June 2013, Haseman reported to the “Wizards” of Special Projects Patrol Squadron (VPU) 2 for her disassociated sea tour. She executed four detachments in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and fleet and theater commanders in the 5th, 6th, and 7th Fleet AORs.  There she qualified as a special projects P-3C mission commander and instructor sensor coordinator.  
 
Haseman joined the “Red Lancers” of VP-10 as a department head in September 2016 for their inaugural P-8A deployment. She held the positions of tactics department head, training department head, and deployed to the 6th Fleet AOR as the maintenance officer.
 
In July 2019, Haseman reported to the Joint Information Operations Warfare Center (JIOWC) as a liaison officer to United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) in Tampa, Florida. She served as an Information Operations (IO) planner for USSOCOM’s J-39 IO Division, while supporting global integration of IO with the Joint Staff and JIOWC.  
 
In May 2022, Haseman assumed the duties as the executive officer of the "Mad Foxes" of Patrol Squadron (VP) 5. She will assume command of the “Mad Foxes” in May 2023 as the 73rd commanding officer. 
 
Haseman has accrued over 2,800 flight hours. Her awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal (4), Navy Commendation Medal (3), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy Achievement Medal (2) and various other personal and unit level awards.
