CMDCM (AW/SW) Warren J. Wiedemann

Command Master Chief (AW/SW) Warren J. Wiedemann hails from Elyria, Ohio, where he graduated from Elyria West High School.
He enlisted in the Navy on January 23, 1996 and attended Recruit Training in Great Lakes, Illinois. Afterwards, he completed Aviation Ordnance 'A' school in Millington, Tennessee. Following school, he reported to his first duty station in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, where he was assigned to the magazine crew in the weapons department. It was there he made Third Class Petty Officer.
His duty stations since then include Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Department (AIMD) at Naval Air Station (NAS) Cecil Field, AIMD at NAS Oceana, Navy Recruiting District (NRD) Ohio, where he made Second Class Petty Officer, Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HS) 11 at NAS Jacksonville, where he made First Class Petty Officer, Helicopter Sea Combat Weapons School Atlantic, where he picked up Chief Petty Officer, and Commander, Naval Air Forces at NAS North Island.
In April of 2016 he reported to Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training Detachment Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, where he was advanced to Senior Chief Petty Officer. He attended the Air Force Senior Enlisted Academy and was selected into the Command Senior Enlisted Leader Program. He then transferred to USS Little Rock Gold (LCS 9), where he led the crew through their initial certifications and maiden CF4 deployment and was subsequently advanced to Master Chief Petty Officer.
Wiedemann has embarked on the aircraft carriers USS John F. Kennedy (CV 67), USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75), USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69), and the USS Enterprise (CVN 65) in support of Operation Deliberate Forge, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom as well as detaching to 32 other Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Allied countries' bases throughout the world.
Wiedemann currently serves as the Command Master Chief at Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 83 at NAS Oceana in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
During his Naval career he has achieved his Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership and obtained his Master Training Specialist certification. His awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3) and the Navy Achievement Medal (5).
