Command Senior Chief

A native of Fernandina Beach, Florida, Command Senior Chief Rená Engelhardt enlisted in the United States Navy in March 2002. After completing basic training at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Illinois, she went to Pensacola, Florida, to complete Electronic Warfare “A” school.
 
Her operational assignments include U.S. 7th Fleet Command, where she served as N2 Joint Tactical Terminal watch lead supervisor; Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 132, the “Scorpions,” where she served as leading petty officer for Operations; USS Leyte Gulf (CG 55) where she served as division leading chief petty officer; and USS Cowpens (CG 63) where she served as departmental leading chief petty officer and the 3-M System Coordinator.
 
Her shore assignments include Naval Network Warfare Command (NAVNETWARCOM) in Suffolk, Virginia, where she served as the leading petty officer for Space Operations; Surface Mine Warfighting Development Command (SMWDC) detachment Little Creek, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, serving as the leading chief petty officer of Operations; Surface Combat System Training Command (SCSTC) detachment Southeast, where she served as the departmental leading chief petty officer for Operations.
 
Engelhardt is a Navy Senior Enlisted Academy graduate, Class 249 and CMC/COB Course graduate in Newport, Rhode Island. Her awards include Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (two awards), and numerous other unit awards and commendations. She is graduate from American Public University with a Baccalaureate of Science in Public Health.
