Cmdr. Lindsay "Mandles" McCammond

Cmdr. Lindsay “Mandles” McCammond, a native from Garland, Texas, graduated with honors from the United States Naval Academy in May of 2010, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. Upon commissioning, she reported to Naval Station Pensacola for flight training and was designated a Naval Aviator in December of 2012.
Following initial qualification in the C-2A Greyhound aircraft, she reported to the “Providers” of Fleet Logistics Support Squadron (VRC) 30 in Coronado, California. She deployed with detachments aboard the USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70), USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), and USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) across U.S. 5th and 7th Fleet in support of Operation Inherent Resolve and Western Pacific (WESTPAC) freedom of navigation operations.
In 2016, she retoured to VRC-30's shore operations command as the Safety Officer before transitioning to the MV-22B Osprey aircraft and joining the “Raptors” of Marine Medium Tiltrotor Training Squadron (VMMT) 204 in New River, North Carolina, in 2017. As part of the first Navy cadre, she stood up Airborne Command & Control Logistics Wing (ACCLOGWING) Detachment 204 and the Naval Aviation Training Support Group (NATSG). She trained across Marine Aircraft Group 26 and became one of the first Navy MV-22B Osprey aircraft fleet replacement squadron instructors and the first Navy Naval Air Training and Operating Procedures Standardization (NATOPS) Evaluator for VMMT-204.
McCammond then reported to the “Titans” of Fleet Logistics Multi-Mission Squadron (VRM) 30 in 2021 where she served as the Command Safety Officer and subsequently as Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the Detachment Two “Dirty Birds” attached to Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 9 and Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 3 aboard USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) in 2022.
At the end of 2022, McCammond reported to Navy Personnel Command in Millington, Tennessee, as the Aviation Bonus and Flight Pay Program Manager and the Placement Officer for the CMV-22B Osprey and C-2A Greyhound aircraft communities where she managed over $150M, seven unit identification codes and two type/model/series for PERS-43 until October of 2024.
McCammond reported as Executive Officer to the “Mighty Bison” of VRM-40 in July of 2025 where she currently serves.
McCammond has logged over 1,700 flight hours in propeller and tiltrotor aircraft. She was selected at the 2016 West Coast Greyhound Pilot of the Year. Her awards include the Navy Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy Achievement Medal, and various other personal, unit, and service awards.
