Cmdr. Chuck Cline


Cmdr. Chuck Cline, a native of Raleigh, North Carolina, was commissioned through the Naval Reserve Training Corps unit at The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina in May 2003. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the United States Naval War College.

Cline’s tours include an operational tour at Airborne Command & Control Squadron (VAW) 126, an instructor tour at VAW-120, a landing signals officer assignment at Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 1, and a department head tour at VAW-112.

After studying at the United States Naval War College, Cline reported to the Strategy, Engagements, and Programs (J5) directorate at United States Africa Command as a contingency planner and executive assistant.

In 2020, he reported to VAW-126 as the executive officer.

Cline’s personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Strike/Flight Air Medal (2), the Navy Commendation Medal (3), and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
