Cmdr. Jeremy Hall


Cmdr. Jeremy Hall is a native of Palo Alto, California, and a 2006 graduate of Tulane University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Economy. After commissioning through the NROTC program in 2006, he reported to Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola in 2007, earning his "Wings of Gold" in 2009.

In 2009, he reported as a fleet replacement pilot to the "Seahawks" of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 41 in San Diego, California, for initial training in the MH-60R and was subsequently assigned to the “Saberhawks” of HSM-77 in San Diego, California, a Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 2 Squadron. In 2010 and 2011 he deployed twice to 5th Fleet in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation New Dawn, and Combined Task Force (CTF) 151 counter-piracy operations, serving onboard USS Momsen (DDG 92), USS Shoup (DDG 86), USS Sterett (DDG 104), and USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72). While assigned to the “Saberhawks” he served as Detachment 5 training officer, Detachment 3 operations officer, and the squadron quality assurance officer.

In 2013, after graduating from the Seahawk Weapons and Tactics Instructor (SWTI) course, he reported to Naval Strike and Air Warfare Center (NSAWC) in Fallon, Nevada, as a subject matter expert at the Rotary Wing Weapons School “SEAWOLF” and as the rotary wing branch head at Air Wing Training “STRIKE”. While at NSAWC, he also served as a mountain flying instructor at the Mountain Flying Course and as a joint terminal attack controller (JTAC) at the Joint Close Air Support (JCAS) School.

From 2016-2017, Hall was assigned to the "Wolf Pack" of HSM-75 in San Diego, California, a CVW-11 squadron, to serve as the squadron SWTI and training officer, deploying in 2017 with the Nimitz strike group on USS Nimitz (CVN 68) to 5th Fleet in support of Operation Inherent Resolve.

In 2018, Hall reported to the "Grandmasters" of HSM-46, Mayport, Florida, for his department head tour. While there, he served as the officer-in-charge of Detachment 2 onboard USS Bainbridge (DDG 96), conducting a 5th Fleet deployment in 2019 with the Abraham Lincoln Strike Group in support of Operations Freedom's Sentinel and Sentinel Sentry. In 2020 he was awarded NHA’s Aircrew of the Year (Deployed) and the ANA Helicopter Aviation Award. Upon return from deployment, Hall served as the squadron maintenance officer.

He reported to the Joint Staff, J5 in Washington, D.C. in 2020. He served as the executive assistant to the Deputy Director for Western Hemisphere Affairs until 2022, aiding in the development of strategic policy initiatives and advising senior Department of Defense leaders and the National Security Council on matters within the Western Hemisphere.

Hall reported to HSM-50 in Mayport, Florida, as executive officer in June 2023 after completing his refresher training at HSM-40 in Mayport, Florida.

He has flown over 2,900 flight hours in the MH-60R and MH-60S, and is authorized to wear the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy/Marine Corps Commendation Medal (4), Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and various unit, campaign, and service awards.
