Supply Officer
Cmdr. Justin M. Hunnell

Cmdr. Justin Hunnell, a native of South Korea and raised in Eaton Rapids, Michigan, holds a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction Management from Michigan State University and a Master of Business Administration with a focus on Acquisition and Contract Management from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California.
He commissioned through Officer Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island, in May 2010 and completed the Supply Corps Basic Qualification Course in Athens, Georgia, later that year.
At sea, Hunnell served as Aviation Support Division Officer aboard USS Nimitz (CVN 68) and as Supply Officer aboard USS Connecticut (SSN 22). He earned the Supply Blue “E” for Logistics Excellence with both commands. His deployments include a U.S. 5th Fleet deployment in support of Operation Inherent Resolve aboard USS Nimitz, as well as a Western Pacific deployment, an Ice Exercise (ICEX) deployment, and the commencement of an Integrated Logistics Overhaul aboard USS Connecticut.
Ashore, he served as Comptroller/Travel Officer and Material Control Officer at Air Test and Evaluation Squadron (VX) 1, Shore Readiness Officer on the staff of Naval Air Force Atlantic and F/A-18 Air Vehicle Branch Head at Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Weapon Systems Support.
Hunnell now serves as the Supply Officer for Aviation Support Detachment (ASD) Oceana.
Hunnell is authorized to wear the Naval Aviation Supply Corps Officer, Supply Submarine Warfare Officer and Surface Warfare Supply Corps Officer warfare insignia. His personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and various campaign awards.
