As your Commanding Officer, I would like to personally welcome you aboard the finest squadron in the United States Navy. You will be an important member of the Navy’s sole MH-53E Fleet Replacement Squadron. No doubt your tour here will be both challenging and rewarding.
We are located aboard Naval Station Norfolk in Norfolk, Virginia. As a fleet replacement squadron, HM-12 trains pilots and aircrewmen to fly the MH-53E in preparation for a variety of worldwide missions, including airborne mine countermeasures, fleet logistics support, heavy lift, and humanitarian assistance/disaster relief.
You are joining a command that is part of one of the most rewarding professional experiences. You will be provided with a sponsor to help with your transition to the squadron.
